The Academy of Classical Dance provides instruction in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus Ballet and Modern Jazz for ages 3 1/2 to adult .  These studies are an excellent technical foundation for all dancers, and a platform for further exploration of this wonderful art form. About Us        By using the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi for our school, dancers receive a globally recognized ballet education. The syllabi is designed with great care asking no more of young dancers than they are developmentally able to manage.  The RAD method is comprised of three areas of study;   Ballet Technique, Free Movement, and Character Dance.
RAD also provides three syllabi in Ballet, two of which are examined and one that is not. All are designed to recognize the progress and achievements of dancers of all ages. Dancers are not required to take exams , but still benefit from RAD training.  As a Registered Teacher with RAD, I am able to prepare and submit interested dancers for the following: Graded Examinations in Dance , Vocational Graded Examinations in Dance , and   Presentation Classes.         As  the director of The Academy of Classical Dance, I look forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact me.
                                                                           See you in class!

ABOUT JULIANN FARRAR

Juliann is a
Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher , meaning she is able to train and submit dancers for exams.  She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, from her previous career, and a Higher Education Certificate in Dance Teaching from the University of Durham (UK). She has been teaching dance and fitness to children and adults for more than 17 years.

Juliann and her family are returning to the area after 13 years living in the US and abroad, most recently Belgium. During her time in Belgium, she was a teacher for the St. Clair School of Dance, teaching ISTD Modern Jazz and RAD Ballet.  She also designed the first after school dance program for the International School of Brussels and served as the choreographer for their Drama Club.

Now that her family has finally settled down, she hopes to establish The Academy of Classical Dance as a friendly, caring, and dependable source of quality dance education for the children and adults in the area.  Through RAD ballet exams she also hopes to provide a means for dancers to gain globally identifiable dance credentials.
